One player showed off this new fanmade mode which functions like the Red Light, Green Light game from Squid Game. There have also been reports from one school of children playing their own violent version of "Red Light, Green Light" in the classroom. Squid Game is expected to feature heavily among the costumes on display this Halloween while one Youtuber has already expressed interest in creating a real-life version of the series. In a Youtube video posted by The Swoon, Squid Game art director Chae Kyung-sun said the game was “mostly played in alleys back in the 70s and 80s,” so she used the character to reference that moment in time. Director Hwang Dong-hyuk went on to say the game “Red Light, Green Light” was the first game because it showed the “most shocking plot twist” at the end. In turn, the sinister survival game comes to fruition for the contestants. After the Netflix series Squid Game launched to explosive stardom, gamers have been getting creative by recreating some of the challenges from the series within various video games.

Recreating the red light, green light scene from ‘Squid Game’, the rapper’s latest music video sees Digga D as the frontman with the guards stood behind him. Just like in the show and using Epic Games’ Unreal Engine, you can see the players move their way towards the finish line but some move after the doll turns around leaving them in a pool of blood. The comment section seems to be thrilled with saas’ remake with over 1k upvotes and one person even saying that if they added a multiplayer, it would be even better. Reddit user saas_dev showcases their creation in a short clip but it’s long enough to see how much attention to detail they have actually put into it. As you can see, saas has even added in the creepy doll from the challenge and that even creepier song.

Worldwide interest in Squid Game has progressed far beyond the series itself, and now anything and everything connected to the show has gained popularity.

Twitter user @AngelStarlight4 posted a video of the real-life learn squid game song Squid Game online, stating, “I would be eliminated immediately, because of shaking with fear.” Honestly, same. However, if you think you could survive, maybe it’s time you try out your very own Squid Game IRL. The Korea survival drama has quickly become the number one series on Netflix, not just in the U.S., but all over the globe. It’s so popular in some countries that Netflix held a real-life Squid Game in the Netherlands for fans to see if they could survive the first game in the show.

For one, hearing songs like Sinatra’s “Fly Me to the Moon” while you’re watching people play kids’ games with deadly consequences is a bit strange. Couple that with the different backstories and intriguing subplots, you’ve got yourself a show that is sure to catch your attention. I’m not somebody that can sit down and just start a show, I need to hear good things about it on social media or elsewhere. So, naturally, when I started to see people talking about “Squid Game”, I was intrigued. Couple that with my roommate turning on the first episode of the show one day, and I had myself a new show to watch. Every day, more than 200 customers come to Cafe Strawberry, drawn by the games from the Netflix (NFLX.O) series, which also include chipping out a shape from dalgona candy.

By crafting the same environments used and dressing all the players in the same outfit, it’s a pretty amazing design. It’s a pretty brutal challenge that’s hard to watch but as horrific as it is, the cruel game has become a point of curiosity for some. A fan of the show has decided to recreate the ‘Red Light, Green Light’ in Fortnite’s Unreal Engine that’s, for use of a better word, really impressive. Footage has surfaced showing a group of wedding guests playing the "Red Light, Green Light" game popularized on the hit Netflix series Squid Game.
